Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

If we really are what we eat, then I might very well be just this. The most simple & obvious pairing that seems almost too simple to share, but to me, this most classic combo easily represents the very best in food (and in life) summed up in just two ingredients. After all, isn’t this precisely what we want from our food, and really, in so many ways….our lives? I know it is for me. Continue reading →
I’ve long wanted to feature a recipe with tempeh on the blog, so I’ve simply got to say this is surely overdue. The truth is, even as long-term (my whole life) vegetarian (zero meat or fish – ever), the truth is, I’m not really a huge fan of soy. Growing up, tofu was a regular feature on my mom’s vegetarian dinner table, and we kids never passed it up with her deliciously fried medium tofu cubes that tasted amazing cooked up in plenty of soy sauce and then dunked in ketchup to seal the deal. Hey all! I hope you guys have all had a fabulous week! Here we are preparing for the kids to break from school and gearing up for an upcoming holiday. Yup, pinch me, we head to Hawaii in just over a week! We are beyond excited to join our best friends on the Big Island for some good beach time and better yet, some amazing food! Stay tuned as I will hopefully post at least once from there, but either way should arrive home full of great stories to tell

I forget exactly what time of the year it was or who was there with me, but I do remember hearing his voice and the way his words still resonate with me to this day. Continue reading →
So I’m basically in love with this new (to me) way to make potatoes. I toyed a little with what to call them, but this is really the best way to properly represent them. They don’t need any fancy name at all, but if I was to call them anything else, I would probably go with Man Potatoes. Yes, Man Potatoes. Why you ask? Continue reading →
Welcome! What is In Pursuit Of More? The blog about living with (just a little) less. By going without, we can gain - by giving to those who have less. Want to make a change in your eating habits for the better? Imagine how you can turn that into something positive for those who would otherwise go hungry. Go without so others don't have to. That's living with (just a little) less.
