Announcing Not So Fast!

Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions. The Dalai Lama

If you don’t already know, this little labour of love blog began in January 2012 as a part of a healing journey that I had personally set out on the year before. As a woman approaching middle age who by all accounts ‘had it all’, I simply couldn’t escape the nagging feeling that I wanted more.

When ‘the more’ I sought at first brought only emptiness, I embarked on an intentional search for the true more that mattered. Weaving through yoga, prayer, writing & food, I stumbled upon something truly great on the night of April 16, 2011, in a moment that can only be described as nothing short of divine.

With my eyes wet from tears and every hair standing up on my body, I did something more powerful than all the things I had done in my life combined until that point: I had a dream, and I JUST STARTED. And I didn’t stop. Through the pain of pressing on & failure, and the discomfort of becoming something I wanted to be & knew I needed to be, I kept on. We kept on, as I shared my vision with any and all who would listen. A team & community was formed.

And today, we are ready to share with any and all who share our vision of Food For All.

Today, I am so happy to present this vision, ready for any and all who are in this with us. Many of you have been with me from the start, and for you and everyone else who has kept with me all this time, I say THANK YOU!

If you’ve ever donated or taken part in a challenge (as in here and here) to go without for the good of others, then you know all too well how easy it for all of us to make an impact: today, right here, where we are right now, at this very moment. IMO, there is simply nothing more beautiful than sacrificing something for the good of another soul. Even if it’s only you that knows about it.

NOT SO FAST is the culmination of the hard work & support of many, and I can’t even begin to thank all of those who have made this vision possible. If you’ve been looking for a way to get involved in your community, write to us, and if you want to help us with making a difference TODAY (wherever you are in the world), visit our website to find out how.

We want to feed people, end of story. It’s so easy and we can’t do this without support!

If you love food, and love people, I know you’ll love this idea. Join me in celebrating a new way to make a difference, however big or small. It all adds up. Let’s do this thing together.

With much love & excitement, and an even bigger burst of humbling GRATITUDE, I present to you the passion project that has changed my life, and hopefully impacted a few others along the way. We are only getting started. Get started here. It’s really the very least we can do!

Is there anything you could go without for the good of others?

Let us know, we’d love to hear!

Yours in so much less,
